  1. Huh? What was the point of the second link here?

  2. To provide something mildly interesting, perhaps?

  3. “Coughing, severe sternal pressure, choking, excessive salivation, extreme swallowing pains, inability to breathe, headache, and abdominal pain occur between 60 and 73 cycles per second.”

Am I missing something? My stereo routinely produces sound in this 60-73Hz frequency range and as far as I can tell I’m not suffering any of these symptoms. People in dance clubs ‘endure’ this for hours at a time. Subwoofers in modern movie theatres are capable of significant sound pressure levels at 20Hz or lower.

Simply mentioning the frequency of the sound, without the SPL and duration, the author’s claims are practically meaningless.

    Interesting read, though.
