I saw this talk awhile ago. I love how any misgivings about his appearance disappear once people begin to here what an articulate (and clearly intelligent) person he is.
This TED video, along with the one of Ray Kurzweil speaking at MIT (link below), are the two that I send to people to introduce them to transhumanist concepts.
Aubrey comes across as a very likeable person. Sometimes I’m a little worried: What about him if SENS — a project in which he invests, so it seems, every fiber of his being — doesn’t work out as planned? Of course, there’s always the possibility to support SENS in one form or another to increase its chance for success.
