Here’s a nice picture of Joe Biden with Steve Jurvetson, two people I think are pretty cool. Steve, whom some of you already know, is a futurist/transhumanist who cares a lot about the same issues I do, like extinction risk and artificial general intelligence. Now Biden is just smart and funny. He came up with one of the most-quoted zingers of the election season — “Rudy Giuliani. There’s only three things he mentions in a sentence — a noun, a verb, and 9/11. There’s nothing else!” The guy is full of hilarious quips, but when it comes to politics, he’s no-nonsense. Unlike most politicians, he is often willing to go off-script and be himself. What a deserving VP.

I notice they both have perfect teeth. How famous do you have to be, I wonder, before getting perfect teeth becomes mandatory?
