The Singularity Hub blog is looking for writers. Here are the requirements:
To qualify for this position you must have one or more degrees in the fields of computer science, engineering, physical sciences, etc. Your technical knowledge must be impeccable, you must be capable of performing independent research, and your writing skills must be superb. This position will require a significant time investment – it is not something you can do on the weekends.
If that description fits you, send in your resume.
Those are some serious requirements. Wonder what the pay is like…Michael, you should apply too, your writing is superb.

I don’t have a degree in anything. Clearly my knowledge is unimportant to Singularitarians.

My friend Varun and I are seriously considering blogging about transhumanist issues as a means of growing support for the Teme Foundation. I know you’re a strong proponent of variation (a primary contributor to memetic design through evolution) in the singularitarian blogosphere.
The degree requirement for this blog job is indeed laughable. If anyone is interested in applying, I’d say go ahead even if you don’t have a degree: I’m certain they won’t get enough applicants to immediately throw you out.
