  1. This robot has basic cognitive abilities.

It’s eerie. An omen of things to come.

  2. The motion of the towels isn’t very realistic. Is that just an artefact of the frame-rate of the video or something? It kinda looks like claymation. I’m sure it’s real, it just looks funny.

Starchy towels maybe. Hope there’s conditioner in the future.

  4. cool. all that technology ‘just’ to fold towels..

i guess it’s painfully slow to watch in RT hence the 50x framerate.

  5. Woops, sorry.

Also, I read: they sped it up.

  6. On Judgment Day the machines will be able to stack the dead humans in nice neat little piles like cord wood. Well, at least it will be orderly.

The video is not in real time, because the robot is really slow that’s all.

  8. Wow, that’s one slow robot. Impressive yet somewhat pathetic at the same time. It suggests we could have robotic butlers within a few doublings.

  9. Resources such as the 1 you mentioned right here will be extremely useful to myself! I’ll publish a hyperlink to this web page on my particular weblog. I’m certain my site website visitors will find that quite useful.
