Ed Regis is a popular writer of transhumanist topics. He is the author of Great Mambo Chicken And The Transhuman Condition: Science Slightly Over The Edge (1990). The book explores the pioneering ideas of cryonics, robotics, memetics, molecular manufacturing and space colonization proposed by futurists and engineers including Keith Henson, K. Eric Drexler, and Hans Moravec. His book Nano : The Emerging Science of Nanotechnology (1995) focuses more closely on molecular manufacturing and the early designs proposed by Drexler in Nanosystems.
