Susan Fonseca Klein
Chief Administrative Officer, Singularity Institute
Susan Fonseca-Klein oversees administration and event-organizing at the Singularity Institute for Artificial Intelligence. In 2001, she and Bruce Klein co-founded the Immortality Institute, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that fosters life extension research. She is currently President of Fonseca LLC, an independent advisory firm based in San Francisco, California.
Her background includes legal experience and international trade-government relations, having worked with Presidents, Ambassadors, and cabinet members from the countries of Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica, promoting the benefits of a free trade agreement between the U.S. and Central America (DR-CAFTA).
Fluent in English and Spanish, she grew up in Honduras, and specialized in bringing together businesses from the U.S. and Central American regions. She received her J.D. from the Cumberland School of Law (Magna Cum Laude, Dean's List, Law Review), and B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Georgia.
