To those of you who dismiss the singularity as the “Rapture of the Nerds”: are you sure you want to agree with RaptureReady.com? Ha!

Hmm, interesting contest, pretty amazing that the RaptureReady people are willing to cede so much to Singulatarians that they could actually made the entire universe conscious. I guess if you maintain a classical view of God as totally outside the box of our universe then this makes sense, but I’d say it’d be a pretty tough match up. If we’ve got the entire universe under control. See Dan Simmons’ Hyperion series for a take on how this matchup might play out. If one thinks, on the other hand, that God is something related to the universe wouldn’t it be less of an opposition to God rather than the conscious universe becoming God?

How will they act? Who will stop the really bad guys when they augment themselves beyond human.I am the subject of a single blind experiment using both technologies. I believe the two agencies are NSA and DARPA.I was setup at 9 tears old when I saw 3 angels beside my bed.The interaction with these agencies is close to 30 years.They have been very abusive and it sure makes me wonder,when bad guys come to town,whose side is the Sheriff going to be on.
