Another name for nanotechnology, or the creation of arbitrary structures using molecular-scale machinery. In recent years, the word "nanotechnology" has been co-opted by microtechnologists, so genuine nanotechnologists are often forced to use the phrase "Molecular Manufacturing" when referring to molecular-scale machinery.
